Four Pillars of Success
Pillar 1: Logical Guessing
In the 2023 UPPCS Prelims paper, I demonstrated how to use background knowledge and common sense to increase your score by at least 20 marks on approximately 40 questions. This approach varies based on each student’s knowledge and stress management during the exam. Some students may even increase their marks by 30 if they have been preparing for a few years. This strategy can help you safely cross the cutoff mark. If you haven’t seen it yet, the Logical Guessing video for 2023 is available on the EdMaitreya YouTube channel. Remember, no matter how good a tool is, its effectiveness depends on the user. If you learn this strategy with me through the past 7 years of PYQs and practice with test papers, you’ll see better results.
Pillar 2: Subject and Topic-Wise Tests
We have planned a total of 75 tests. First, we’ll analyze PYQs to understand the themes, then prepare questions based on that analysis. We’ll focus more on topics with higher question frequency or likelihood. The number of questions in these 75 tests will vary based on the importance of each topic.
Pillar 3: Current Affairs
Current affairs are crucial for UPPCS, RO, and BPSC exams. Many of you read market magazines, but due to time constraints or varying understanding, important details might be missed. Having read the country’s most important newspapers for years and with a natural interest in current affairs, I believe I can provide you with a set of potential questions that will help you save time for other subjects.
Pillar 4: Comprehensive Preparation
This effort will aid both Prelims and Mains, especially for complex subjects like Economy and Environment. I will simplify these concepts with data and concept talks (recorded or live session videos will be provided). This will prepare you for both Prelims and Mains simultaneously. Without this understanding, even memorization may lead to errors in the Prelims.
Final and Most Important Point
Any external effort is only supportive. You know your strengths and weaknesses best. Guidance can show you the way and accelerate your progress, but it cannot replace your own efforts. I hope you self-assess, focus on weak subjects, and prioritize accordingly. Dedicate 3-4 hours daily to follow our plan, but remember to study separately as well. We will review your progress through live sessions and other methods to keep you on track. While I may not be able to speak with hundreds of people daily, I am always available to solve any valid issues you face. Rest assured.
Best wishes,
Your Maitreya 🙏🏻
